The Congress Wednesday appointed former union minister V. Narayanasamy as in-charge of the party's affairs in seven north-eastern states in place of former Goa Chief Minister Luizinho Faleiro.
"The Congress president has given me the task to look after the party's affairs as general secretary in-charge of Sikkim, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur," Narayansamy told IANS over phone from New Delhi.
"I will be touring the north-eastern states once our party's leaders chalk out the programme for my visit," he said.
