NASSCOM chairman receives HMA lifetime achievement award

The Hyderabad Management Association's (HMA) prestigious lifetime achievement award 2015 was presented to B.V.R Mohan Reddy, founder and executive chairman of Cyient, and chairman of NASSCOM, the apex body of India's information technology industry.

The award was presented at the 43rd HMA annual awards by Telangana's Information Technology Minister K. T. Rama Rao.

Mohan Reddy has been honoured for numerous accomplishments over the last four decades and this coincides with the 25th anniversary of Cyient (formerly Infotech Enterprises), the engineering services company he founded in 1991.

His contribution spans a variety of initiatives addressing challenges in industry, communities, entrepreneurship, education, skills, and employment.

 

An entrepreneur, thought leader and industry leader, he contributed immensely to shape the IT-BPM industry in India and has pioneered engineering design outsourcing industry from India.

An alumnus of University of Michigan and IIT-Kanpur, he founded Cyient with four employees and a strong entrepreneurial spirit to make it a multinational giant clocking revenues of around Rs.3,000 crore and a market capitalisation of around Rs.5,000 crore.
