Actors Nathan Lane and John Slattery will star in the Broadway revival of the 1928 classic newspaper comedy "The Front Page".
Lane will play tabloid editor Walter Burns, with Slattery as his star reporter Hildy Johnson, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
Scott Rudin will produce the 1928 play by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur, which was inspired by their years as Chicago journalists. It takes place entirely in the press room of Chicago's Criminal Courts Building, where hacks from various city papers play poker and swap wisecracks while waiting to cover a big case that takes an unexpected turn.
"The Front Page" is expected to have a starry cast of over 20 actors, including John Goodman and theater veterans Rosemary Harris, Jefferson Mays and Sherie Rene Scott, with more names to come.
