The Congress on Monday attacked the central government over national security, saying it was going through "turbulent times" and there had been a steep increase in border incursions by China.
"National security is going through turbulent times in different facets with respect to China border," Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi told reporters at a press conference here.
"Over 120 incursions have occurred along the border with China and unfortunately the government is caught napping," he said.
The Congress leader's remarks came in the wake of the Indian and Chinese troops face-off at Doklam or Donglong, a disputed territory between China and Bhutan.
Singhvi also took a dig at the central government for not having a full time Defence Minister.
