Anthony Davis scored 22 points and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds to help the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Orlando Magic 100-92 Sunday.
"When the moment was there, he took over and that's what All-Stars do," said the Pelicans' coach Monty Williams about the 20-year-old centre, reports Xinhua.
The 2014 NBA All-Star Game would take place in New Orleans. Davis wasn't included in the starting lineup, but he is expected to be voted into the Western reserve.
Tyreke Evans shot down a team-best 23 points from the bench for the Pelicans. Brian Roberts and Eric Gordon had 15 and 14 points respectively.
Arron Afflalo topped the Magic with 25 points while Victor Oladipo made 18.
