The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) on Sunday launched a mobile app for providing better citizen-friendly services by law enforcement agencies.
The app has been developed in-house by the NCRB, bureau Director Ish Kumar said on the occasion of the organisation's 33rd Inception Day here.
"It can be used by citizens for various services such as complaint registration, status check, view FIR details, locate police station, emergency contact list, police stations telephone directory and citizen tip-offs wherein anyone can inform the police about any suspicious activity," Kumar said.
Chief guest and Intelligence Bureau Director Rajiv Jain applauded the use of information technology by police forces for data collection and analysis for better delivery of citizen-friendly services by various law enforcement agencies.
On the occasion, several meritorious officials were also awarded.
