National Award-winning actress Neena Gupta is impressed by the professionalism and talent of new generation actors.
Neena has a key role in the forthcoming release "Mulk", which features Prateik Babbar, Taapsee Pannu, Ashrut Jain and Vartika Singh, apart from veterans like Rishi Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa and Ashutosh Rana.
"I am pleasantly surprised by the talent and professionalism of youngsters. The way they are getting into the character, questioning and discussing with the director to get a better understanding of their role, I am so impressed. In our time, when we were young, we used to only listen to what the director said. But these kids are really intelligent," Neena told IANS in an interview.
As "Mulk" has marked the first time that Neena has worked with director Anubhav Sinha, she said: "Anubhav is a man with clarity, and open to suggestions. Since he knows what he wants, it is easy for any actor to work with him."
The story of the film revolves around a Muslim family which goes through a tough time to prove themselves innocent after a bomb blast takes place in a city where the family lives, especially when the police gets to know about the involvement of one of the family members in the blast.

What does she play?
"I am playing Rishi Kapoor's wife in the film. He is an elder member of the family, trying to maintain certain sanity in the household during the crisis when one of the family members get involved in terrorist activity.
"The fact is that in reality, whenever a family goes through anything devastating like that, apart from the main person, the rest of the family suffers in an equal manner. When kids are going to school from that family, they face humiliation, they get rejected for job opportunities.... So this woman (that I play) is trying to emotionally support everyone."
"Mulk" is releasing on Friday.
