Following their 5-1 win over Spain in Salvador the Netherlands returned to the Rio de Janeiro training pitch Saturday.

All 23 players entered the pitch, but the starting line-up of the opening match in Group B Friday only did some athletic exercises for half an hour, reports Xinhua.

The other twelve players participated in shooting exercise and played a friendly match against each other.

Daley Blind, who assisted Robin van Persie for the first goal, only did some cycling, while the other starters did some walking.

After half an hour, Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben sat down and watched the reserves play.

Family and friends arrived in the hotel of the Dutch team Saturday to give the squad some distraction.

Van Persie enjoyed himself on the pitch with a ball and the players' kids, who were allowed to enter the field. It was a relaxed training day for the squad that humiliated the reigning world champions.
