New book on Delhi recalls rich past, deteriorating present

A book detailing the rich past and present of Delhi and talking about the deteriorating living conditions in the national capital was released on Sunday at a function here.

The book, titled Ae Dilli Tujhe Salaam, has been written by veteran journalist and Gandhian Babu Lal Doshi.

Releasing the book, Sanatan Sanskriti Sansthan President Jagjiwan Bakhshi appreciated the efforts and contribution of Doshi, who has been bringing out a newspaper for the last 34 years and has authored 15 books so far.

The book Ae Dilli Tujhe Salaam contains valuable information about the national capital and talks about the various problems Delhi is facing.

 

Among those present at the book launch were Sankar Sanyal, President of the Harijan Sewak Sangh, and prominent Gandhian Laxmi Dass.

A Kavi Sammelan was also organised on the occasion with noted poets Ramesh Sharma, Neha, Rajinder Chowdhry and Saathi, among others, reciting their poems.
