The New Year rings in change of guard at the Madras

Atomic Power Station (MAPS), part of the Nuclear Power Corp of India Ltd

(NPCIL).

The incumbent station director, T.J. Kotteeswaran, has been promoted and

transferred to Rawatbhatta site in Rajasthan as site director.

"In Rajasthan, there are six units and two more are under construction,"

Kotteeswaran told IANS.

On the other hand, Ravi Satyanarayana, chief superintendent at MAPS, will

take charge as the station director from January 2, he said.

An electronics and communication engineer, Satyanarayana is possessing 31

years of experience in nuclear field in the areas of construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of atomic power plants.

 

He has served in several Indian nuclear power stations such as the Rajasthan Atomic Power Station, Narora Atomic Power Station and Kaiga Generating Station.

Satyanarayana has also represented NPCIL in World Association of Nuclear

Operators, Tokyo Centre, from 2011 to 2013 for enhancing performance

of Indian nuclear power plants.
