NewsDistill, a leading news aggregator, has introduced a unique feature that allows users to search and get news based on their current location or from the place of their choice.
The feature enables user to know happenings from a particular region or district in English or in the local regional language, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Launched in 2015, NewsDistill aggregates news sourced from various Indian newspapers, television channels, RSS Feeds, custom feeds and social media in major Indian languages besides English. The news is presented through innovative algorithms through a rich user interface application.
"It's with great pleasure we announce the latest version 2.2 of the Android App with some awesome features like local feeds, nearby news, upgraded News Player, 360 degree view, timeline view for trending topics and many more," said Narasimha Reddy, CEO of NewsDistill.
"Irrespective of the location, NewsDistill's latest feature ensures one stays connected with news from the region of choice starting from villages to states," he said.
