NFDC classics like "Salaam Bombay", "Mammo", "Mirch Masala" and "Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron" will be screened here over a month-long period.
National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) India has collaborated with 92.7 Big FM and 1018mb for the outreach initiative, 'Film Aaj Kal Screenings and Conversations', read a statement.
Some of the other films backed by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), to be screened are "Gaman", "Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro", "Arvind Desai Ki Ajeeb Dastaan", "Naseem", "Raghu Romeo" and "Dharavi".
They will be screened at two alternative venues -- Harkat Studios and G5A from July 15 to August 15, the statement said.
The collaboration also includes a weekly radio show titled "Film Aaj Kal". Hosted by popular radio jockey Siddharth Mishra, it is designed as a series of conversations between filmmakers discussing the NFDC classics evoking a renewed interest in the films.
Six episodes of the show have already been aired.
