A Nigerian national was arrested Thursday for possessing party drug LSD worth Rs.1 lakh, Goa Police said.

Paul Tochukwu David, 28, was arrested from Vagator, a beach village located 20 km from here.

A police spokesperson said David was arrested after a police team found the popular party drug in his possession.

"David has been arrested and booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code," the spokesperson said.

Goa is one of the most popular beach tourism destinations in India and is also known for its lifestyle and easy availability of drugs and narcotics substances along the state's coastline.
