A Nigerian national, staying in Goa on forged documents, was arrested in Panaji for possessing cocaine valued at Rs.15 lakh, police said Monday.

Police said Ifeany Patrick Eligwe was arrested with the contraband, which was seized during a raid along with his passport, cash and two mobile phones.

"His visa appears to be forged and a separate offence (related to the forged travel documents) has been registered," a police spokesperson said.

Eligwe has been booked under sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act as well as the Passport Act and Foreigners Act.
