A Nigerian national was arrested for illegally staying in the country, Gurugram police said on Saturday.
Kalvin Iduh, 28, was arrested from a Gurugram market in Sector 55.
"He was questioned by the police during a routine exercise and was asked to produce his legal documents. However, he even failed to show his passport," police official Ratanpal told IANS.
Kalvin told the police that he has been living in different places in Gurugram for over four years now.
He also told the police that he was in search of a new house in Gurugram itself.
The accused was on Saturday produced before the court of Judicial Magistrate (First class) Devender Singh and was sent to 14 days judicial custody.
