Nine killed as train hits minibus in Turkey

At least nine people were killed and a number of others injured when a passenger train rammed into a minibus in Mersin province of southern Turkey Thursday, media reported.

The train, on way from southern Adana to the Mediterranean port city of Mersin, collided with the minibus which was passing through a railway crossing near Taskent station, Xinhua reported citing Mersin police chief Hasan Huseyin Bahar.

The minibus, which was totally wrecked, was transporting workers to a factory, he added.
