Walt Disney Studios has confirmed that there won't be another movie in the adventure movie franchise "Indiana Jones" for at least two years as they wish to come up with a new story.
The news has come two weeks after Disney purchased the marketing and distribution rights to future "Indiana Jones" films from Paramount Pictures.
"We haven't done anything. We don't have a story. We need a story. It didn't make sense to produce the movie at Disney and then have it be distributed and marketed by Paramount," variety.com quoted Alan Horn, Walt Disney Studios' chairman as saying.
The "Indiana Jones" franchise first took off in 1981 with the movie "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark". Its prequel, "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", hit the screens in 1984 and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" came out in 1989. A fourth film, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", was released in 2008.
