The BJP Friday said it has not violated the model code of conduct by publishing an advertisement in newspapers Friday a day ahead of Delhi election.

"There is no violation of the code of conduct," senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley said.

His comment came after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleged it was a violation of the code of conduct.

"They convert black money into white, are caught distributing liquor, but that is not violation of code of conduct for them," Jaitley said pointing a finger at the AAP.

"We are sending a message to the voter, and that is violation according to them." he said.

The BJP Friday published full-page advertisements in leading news papers listing their achievements since they formed a government at the Centre.

The AAP also wondered who was funding the advertisements.
