Not one river in Uttar Pradesh can be called clean, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday.
Expressing concern over pollution in rivers and elsewhere, the Chief Minister said his government was committed to increasing the forest cover in the state from 9 to 15 per cent.
At an event organised on World Environment Day here, Adityanath also said that the society should come forward to conserve nature and protect plants and trees.
He also launched a mobile app for the forest department - Van Mitra.
