India has taken note of reports on the presence of Chinese nationals in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said on Friday, adding that the issue had been raised with China.
"The government has taken note of reports regarding the presence of Chinese persons in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), including Gilgit-Baltistan region," Parrikar said on Friday.
"The government has also conveyed its concerns to China about their activities in PoK and asked them to cease such activities," he said.
The minister added: "The government keeps a constant watch on all developments having a bearing on India's security and takes all necessary measures to safeguard it."
