Every dog can have its day. At least in the Pink City, were a fully air-conditioned hotel with 20 kennels or rooms for dogs has come up.
The hotel also has a swimming pool and a spa for the dogs.
"Giving dogs a gateway to happiness and treating them equal since they are just like our babies was the one of the ideas behind this concept," Viren Sharma, director of International Dog Bazar (IDB) and Honorary Secretary of Kennel Club of Rajasthan told IANS.

Sharma said that giving a tension free atmosphere to all dog-owners when they travel was also the motive behind the dog hotel, as leaving a dog behind is always a worrisome situation.
"To start with, we have 20 air conditioned kennels or rooms and looking at the response we get, we intend to expand the number of rooms and facilities," he said.
Each room is 24 square feet in size giving a dog enough space to walk and sleep.
"We charge Rs 599 per day and it includes breakfast, lunch and dinner and a free Spa session. We do give discounts on guest staying with us for longer duration," he said.
"We also have a dedicated dog's kitchen where we offer a variety of vegetarian & non-vegetarian delicacies that includes Indian, Chinese, Mexican dishes with yummy doggy drinks as well."
Sharma said that the hotel serves "holistic petfood" including multi-grain flour, fruits, vegetables, peanut butter, honey eggs, Arice and chicke.
"In our exclusive dog grooming saloon and Spa your dog can get royal makeover services from our expert groomers," Sharma said.
So far six "guests" have checked in, says Sharma from a tiny 3-month-old German shepherd to a 6-year-old Saint Bernard weighing almost 100 kilos.
The hotel also welcomes other pets, including cats, parrots, fishes and rabbits.
"Our trained staff takes best possible care of all your loved pets like their own baby," he said.
Hotel IDB also plans dog boutique, a dog exchange, a training school and a dog/cat adoption facility.
Further, one can bu a dog online with the click of a mouse and the pet would be delivered at the doorsteps within 48 hours. Sharma claimed that many of these schemes are going to be the first of its kind in India.
"PuppySitter with Every Pup" is going to be a facility which has been devised keeping those dog enthusiasts in mind who wish to adopt a pup but don't have enough time to look after the dog.
"At IDB we provide trained dog handlers who will be with you 24x7 to take care of the baby just like a nanny," he added.
