Krrish Delhi Smashers icon player Jwala Gutta said she is fit to play in the Indian Badminton League (IBL) after missing out on the last three legs of the tourney.
The doubles shuttler missed the Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune legs because of a shoulder sprain after playing the opening round in the capital. V. Diju and Prajakta Sawant took the charge in mixed doubles for the team in the last three matches.
"I am fit to play now. I feel fine and the shoulder is also okay," Jwala told IANS after a practice session at the Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium here Saturday.
Jwala practiced for a couple of hours and did some stretching exercises in the afternoon.
"Whether I play or not tomorrow will be decided in the team meeting before the match," added the Commonwealth Games gold medallist.
Lying sixth and last in the points table, the Smashers take on hosts Banga Beats in a crucial tie Sunday. Having lost three of their four ties, Delhi are in dire need of their 29-year-old icon to bring about a change of fortune.
