Low cost carrier AirAsia Berhad on Friday started a thrice-a-week direct flight from Goa to Kuala Lumpur, for which it announced a special all-inclusive one way fare of Rs.999.
The service, according to the carrier, would help provide a seamless travelling experience from Goa to Malaysian cities as well as other international destinations.
As part of the thrice-a-week flight service, AirAsia Berhad CEO Aireen Omar also announced the special fare.
Addressing a press conference here, she said: "Goans can now fly to Kuala Lumpur easily, and also take advantage of our fly-thru service which will allow them to enjoy a seamless travelling experience from India to Malaysian cities like Penang, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu or other international cities such as Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney and many more."
"AirAsia Berhad will also be increasing its flight frequencies for its Kochi-Kuala Lumpur flights from 10 times weekly to 14 times weekly effective November 19. We currently operate 69 weekly flights from India to Kuala Lumpur," she added.
