A nurse who filed a molestation complaint against four senior officials of the Jammu and Kashmir health department Saturday alleged that police asked her to enter into a compromise with the accused.

The nurse had filed a police complaint in Shaheedgunj police station here Friday alleging that four health department officials - director of health services (Kashmir), chief medical officer (Anantnag), block medical officer (Anantnag) and medical superintendent (Saleer-Anantnag) molested her after calling her to their offices in connection with some official work.

The nurse Saturday told the media that police asked her to enter into a compromise with the accused officials so that the matter is hushed up.

"I was taken to the office of a superintendent of police where I was told to enter into a compromise with the accused officials.

"The accused officials have been sexually molesting me for three months and after losing all hope of getting justice from other quarters, I lodged an FIR against them.

"These officers have exploited other girls also, and I appeal the women of Kashmir to raise their voices in my favour so that such a tragedy does not strike anyone else in the future," the nurse said.

Police said they have already registered a first information report and have started investigation.

No arrest has been made so far.
