US President Barack Obama and South Korean President Park Geun-hye have held discussion on regional issues over phone, the White House said Monday.
The two leaders discussed situation in the Korean Peninsula, and agreed to maintain "close communication and coordination" in pursuing the "denuclearisation" of North Korea, Xinhua reported.
The Sunday evening conversation was designed to build on discussions from Park's recent visit to Washington, the White House said.
