Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday distributed digitised ration cards under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) that would benefit 3.26 crore people.

In the first phase, the act would be implemented in 14 districts of the state from November 1 while the second phase would be implemented from December 1.

The chief minister said a total 3.26 crore people would be benefited with the implementation of the act in the state as they will get food grains at subsidised prices through the digitised ration cards.
