Odisha fishermen were Saturday warned against venturing into the sea as gusty winds would prevail due to a low pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal, weather officials said.
A low-pressure area has been formed over northwest Bay of Bengal and as a result, strong and gusty surface wind, reaching speeds of 45-55 km per hour (kmph), are likely to prevail along and off the state's coast, a senior official of the Bhubaneswar meteorological centre told IANS.
Rain or thundershower may occur at many places of the state during next two days, he said, adding heavy to very heavy rain may occur at some places.
