Abu Dhabi, Aug 10 (IANS/WAM) The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is scheduled to hold a high-level meeting on Tuesday to further strengthen, solidify and coordinate the efforts to counter extreme violence, sectarianism, terrorism and Islamophobia, media reported on Monday.
The OIC said it has been committed to countering violent extremism for over 20 years. The OIC Code of Conduct on Combating Terrorism and the OIC Convention on Combating International Terrorism were adopted in 1994 and 1999, respectively.
