Singer-songwriter Olly Murs played a prank on his superfan on April Fool's Day by telling her that his concert, which she was attending that evening, had been cancelled.
The "Wrapped up" singer teamed up with Hallam FM's Simon Morykin to play a prank on one of his superfans named Sarah Baxter from Sheffield, south Yorkshire, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Murs pretended to be a man called Tom from the box office at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, where he was due to perform later in the evening and told the unsuspecting fan that the gig had been oversold and she may not be able to attend.
Talking as his alter-ego, he asked Sarah to prove how big a fan of Murs she is.
The fan then said: "We're phoning everyone to see who really wants to go to the concert. We need to get rid of 100 fans unfortunately from the Arena."
To prove her fan status, Sarah was asked to sing some lines from her favourite Murs track "Dance with me tonight", but she soon realised she was being pranked, asking Tom: "Is this Olly Murs?"
