Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Tuesday said he disagrees that the BJP's victory in state elections was "unstoppable".

He said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was not able to repeat its Lok Sabha performance in Maharashtra and Haryana elections.

"It would be an exaggeration to say the BJP march to victory in elections is unstoppable," he told the media on the sidelines of the Police Commemoration Day function here.

"They have done well, but not that well as they expected. In Haryana, they have just about crossed the half-way mark."

"In Maharashtra, they were expecting to form the government on their own, but now they have to eat a humble pie and go back to their old ally to form the government," he said.
