TV mogul Simon Cowell says he is impressed with the attitude of members of band One Direction for sticking together after singer Zayn Malik's departure.
The remaining members of the boyband are Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson.
The 55-year-old shared his views about the band during an interview with BBC Radio 1, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"As long as the boys want it -- and I think they do -- they'll carry on being as successful as ever. Interestingly, with the guys, within days, once they got over the shock they were united, strong. They put on some incredible shows afterwards. The future's bright, I think," Cowell said.
Cowell, who signed One Direction to his record label Syco Records after they finished third on "The X Factor" in 2010, isn't upset with Malik for leaving the group.
"Zayn will have a great career...It did come as a bit of a shock, but I had to look after him and I had to look after the boys and, you know, if somebody doesn't want to do something, you shouldn't make them do it," he said.
