At least one person was killed and 37 others were trapped Saturday following a gas accident in a colliery in southwest China's Sichuan province, officials said.
The accident occurred at the Taozigou coal mine in Luxian county when at least 108 miners were working underground, Xinhua reported. Officials said 71 miners managed to escape.
