The Haryana Town and Country Planning (TCP) department has asked all clients, developers and applicants to apply only through online mode for any work concerning the department, a senior officer said on Saturday.
TCP Department Principal Secretary Arun Kumar Gupta said that the department will stop accepting hard copies of applications from August 1.
Gupta said that the department was committed to providing hassle-free service in a time-bound manner, and was taking such initiatives to maximise client satisfaction. He said that all details are available on checklists for applicants on the department's website.
The TCP department controls all urban development projects, including major projects, for clearances, granting licenses for development and monitoring.
Since Haryana surrounds national capital Delhi from three sides and large parts of Haryana fall under the national capital region (NCR), the TCP's role becomes important.
Gurugram (earlier Gurgaon), Faridabad and Rohtak districts also share their boundary with Delhi.
