Outgoing Pakistan Army chief General Raheel Sharif on Monday paid farewell visits to President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the army media wing reported.
Raheel Sharif is set to retire on Tuesday and new army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa will take over.
Sharif and Mamnoon lauded Raheel Sharif's valuable services as army chief and wished him the best for his post-retirement life, Dawn reported.
Earlier, Raheel Sharif told the media that he would like to dedicate his post-retirement life to the welfare of the families of slain soldiers.
