It was not a bull-fighting arena but over 35 farmers were left injured when a raging bull entered the spot where farmers were protesting for their demands in Punjab's Bathinda town on Thursday, police said.
The injured farmers were rushed to the government civil hospital for treatment.
The farmers, who were protesting against the "flawed" agriculture policy of the Punjab government outside the Bathinda district administration complex, were caught unawares when the bull entered their protest venue. A number of women protestors were also present at the spot.
Farmers alleged that the authorities and police were responsible for the bull entering their protest and injuring people. Police refuted the allegation.
Bathinda is 235 km from here.
