Over 70 percent balloting was recorded in by-elections in three assembly constituencies of Madhya Pradesh Thursday, officials said.
Polling was peaceful, but voters in one polling booth stayed away to press their various demands.
Voters Thursday decided the fate of 25 candidates in Vijayraghavgarh, Bahoriband and Aagar constituencies. Ten candidates each tried their luck in Vijayraghavgarh and Bahoriband while there were five aspirants in Aagar.
Long queues of voters were witnessed at polling booths in all three constituencies.
According to the chief electoral officer, Bahoriband saw 75.2 percent voting while in Vijayraghavgarh and Aagar, it was 68.10 and 69.1 percent, respectively.
Voters in Faisalpur of Bahoriband constituency boycotted the polls.
