Indian tennis ace Leander Paes entered the Australian Open mixed doubles final partnering Swiss veteran Martina Hingis at the Rod Laver Arena here Friday.
Seventh seeds Paes and Hingis beat unseeded Chinese Taipei-Uruguayan duo of Su-Wei Hsieh and Pablo Cuevas 7-5, 6-4.
However, it was the end of the road for Paes' compatriot Sania Mirza, who lost her semi-final in the same category with Brazilian partner Bruno Soares. The top seeds were beaten by French-Canadian third seeds Kristina Mladenovic and Daniel Nestor 6-3, 2-6, 8-10.
