The Indian and Pakistani armies again traded fire at the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Monday.
Defence ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand said, "At about 6.30 p.m. today (Monday), Pakistan army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing small arms along the LoC in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district."
"Indian army is retaliating effectively," he added.
The two armies had traded heavy fire on the LoC in Poonch district yesterday.
