Pakistan on Thursday strongly condemned the hanging of Bangladeshi Jamaat-e-Islami leader Motiur Rahman and said it has extreme concerns regarding the execution.
Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakria, during his weekly briefing, said the acting high commissioner of Bangladesh was summoned to record Pakistan's strong protest against the hanging.
The Foreign Office further stated that Pakistan has "extreme concerns regarding the hanging" and that the office issued a statement in this regard on Wednesday.
