The Pakistan government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are meeting Friday to finalise the draft for the judicial commission ordinance which will probe allegations of rigging during the 2013 general election.

The meeting is being held at the residence of Jehangir Khan Tareen, PTI general secretary, after the Imran Khan-led party earlier rejected a draft for the judicial commission ordinance.

The draft was handed to him by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar during the all-party conference Dec 24.

According to Tareen, the draft was rejected as it was not in line with what had been agreed upon.

A major breakthrough is expected Friday as both sides have expressed their willingness to finalise the draft.
