Pakistani rock band Strings is gearing up to face Indian rock act Euphoria in a musical confrontation, Red Bull Soundclash.

The two bands will come face-to-face Nov 28 in Dubai at the Sheikh Maktoum Hall, Dubai World Trade Centre.

The two acclaimed bands will compete in front of the crowd on two opposing stages in four musical rounds.

"I think Red Bull Soundclash is a fantastic concept and I think it's brilliant to be doing this in the Middle East. It's great. Strings are great friends of ours. So, I think the entire thing is too good to be true and I'm really looking forward to it," Palash Sen of Euphoria, said in a statement.

Faisal Kapadia of Strings feels the concept is unique.

"I've never heard of it before and that was really the main factor in us doing this. One gets tired of doing the same kind of stuff, so when we heard about this, it was really interesting. We've worked with Euphoria several times, we even did a song together way back in 2003, so we've got a good relationship with them," he said.

The two-member group is set for "extra preparation" for the event.
