A 43-year-old man was allegedly stoned to death for honour in Pakistan's Ghourgushti, a media report said on Thursday.

The body of Aurangzaib, a native of Mian Dehri village of Ghazi town, was spotted by a passerby with multiple injuries lying amid a pile of stones under Barazai bridge, Dawn news said.

A police official claimed that the evidence collected from the crime scene suggested that the motive behind the murder was honour, the report added.

A senior police officer, however, confirmed that the man was stoned to death.
