The winter session of parliament will begin on November 26 and last till December 23, the government said on Monday.
"The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA) met today (Monday) which suggested the dates for it," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu told reporters.
The session is expected to be stormy in the light of the Bharatiya Janata Party's defeat in Bihar assembly polls and the opposition parties having various issues, including cases of rising intolerance and return of awards by intellectuals and a section of the film fraternity to attack the government.
