Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday said that he would finish the first round of campaigning for the upcoming Panaji bypolls by August 15, adding that his campaign strategy involved meeting groups of voters in pre-designated houses in colonies.
"I am going from colony to colony. I go there and engage with people. I know most of them so it is about communication, exchange of views," Parrikar told reporters in Panaji.
The former Defence Minister said that if any specific issues are raised by the voters, they are addressed immediately.
Mocking his Congress rival Girish Chodankar's door-to-door campaign style, Parrikar said the Congress may not know "how many doors there are" in the state capital.
The Panaji bypoll is scheduled to be held on August 23.
