The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 36 degrees Celsius.
"The morning was marked with a partly cloudy sky. There is a possibility of thunder and lightening in the course of the day," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 66 per cent and rain nil.
Wednesday's maximum temperature settled at 35.7 degrees Celsius, five degrees above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
