Current women's world marathon record holder Paula Radcliffe was Friday appointed the event ambassador for Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2014 to be held Nov 23.
"The Delhi Half Marathon is an outstanding platform for people to celebrate their common passion for running. I am pleased to be associated with the 2014 edition as Event Ambassador, and journey to a country that is continuing to witness such a marvellous running revolution," Radcliffe said in a release.
The English long-distance runner is a three-time winner of the London Marathon, three-time New York Marathon champion, and has won the Chicago Marathon in 2002.
"In addition to a highly competitive field, it is heartening to know that thousands of running enthusiasts participate in the event to celebrate the spirit of good health, self-belief and charity. I look forward to meeting the world's finest long-distance athletes along with India's running enthusiasts and inspiring them to be the best they can be," Radcliffe aded.
