Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said his party's victory in the Rajasthan bypolls was a rejection of the ruling BJP by the people of the state.
In a tweet, he also congratulated the party workers in Rajasthan.
"Well done Rajasthan Congress! Proud of each and every one of you. This is a rejection of the BJP by the people of Rajasthan," Gandhi said.
The Congress on Thursday won the Mandalgarh Assembly seat and Ajmer and Alwar Lok Sabha seats, wresting all three seats from the BJP.
The good showing of the party in Rajasthan comes after it put up a doughty show in the Gujarat assembly polls.
Congress communications incharge Randeep Singh Surjewala said the "results were like a mirror for 2019 (Lok Sabha) polls".
