A photography exhibition on eight African tribes, featuring over 200 stills by wildlife biologist Latika Nath, opened at the Bikaner House here on Monday.

Titled "OMO: Where The Time Stood Still", the solo show captures the lifestyle and culture of eight distinct tribes in the Omo Valley of Ethiopia.

Part of her vast photographic repository, the 240 visuals show their "body scarification and decoration, lip and ear plates, blood drinking, their song and dances, rituals and ceremonies, their unique architecture, and food vessels as well the importance of the AK 47 and guns in their lives".

The exhibition is open for public viewing till November 12.
