PIB head condoles death of IANS journalist Arvind Padmanabhan

IANS New Delhi

Top government spokesperson Frank Noronha condoled the death of IANS Executive Editor Arvind Padmanabhan who died of cardiac arrest here early on Wednesday.

"Condole the untimely passing away of Arvind Padmanabhan, seasoned journalist. May God give his family the strength to bear this great loss," tweeted Noronha, Principal Director General of Press Information Bureau (PIB).

Padmanabhan, who would have turned 50 next month, breathed his last at the Holy Family Hospital.

He is survived by his mother Shanta, wife Ponna and daughter Tara. His father was the late G. Padmanabhan, who worked for many years with the Press Institute of India and the Indian & Eastern Newspapers Society (IENS, now INS).
