It was a pleasant morning here Thursday with a clear sky and bright sunshine.
The Met Office said the cold conditions have abated and the day temperature are on a steady rise for the last two days.
The maximum temperature here Wednesday was 27.1 degrees Celsius - three notches above normal.
The minimum temperature also climbed three notches and was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius.
The weather office said the nights would continue to be cold for another week.
Railway officials said that many passenger and short-distance trains that were cancelled due to fog for over a month would soon be restarted. Air traffic and flight schedules also returned to normalcy with improvement in visibility.
